Highlights from the Week 9/19-9/23

Here are some things we've been working on in second grade:
-Starting morning spelling activities in groups of 3-4
-Learning a little about sentence structure and parts of speech
-Practicing different ways to represent numbers
-Playing math games: Gridlock, Countdown, Race to a Square, and more!

Highlights from The First Two Weeks 9/6-9/16

Here are some of the things we've been working on in second grade:
-Collaborative projects with room 9A and 9B: Toothpick Togetherness (see pics below), Dreamcatchers, & Mosaic Portraits using color values
-Started talking about geography and explored 2 different maps
-Writing summer stories
-Learned 3 new math games--Gridlock, Race to a Square, and Countdown
-Started our math notebooks and math problems of the day
-Alphabet Alliterations
-Journal Writing
-Met our Reading Buddies
-Found out who our first Mystery Reader was!!!
