Thanks to Jennifer for bringing her chickens in to visit the students at Science! It was a great learning experience, and it's a great connection to learning about the lifecycle of a chicken. Hopefully the students will be able to observe fertilized eggs and see them hatch at some point during the school year...

Highlights from the Week 9/17-921
Here are some of the things we've been working on this week:
-Summarizing the main details of a story after reading (see pictures in the previous post)
-Reading stories about 7 year olds and "making connections"
-Practicing spelling words in a variety of ways
-Developing and showing math strategies to add double-digit numbers
-Learning and playing the Magic Stick math game
